- 3 pounds Granny Smith apples peeled cored, and chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
For the Streusel Topping
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter cooled

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Position the oven rack to the lowest position.

Roll out pie crust into a 12-inch round and place in the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate, tucking it in and crimping the edges. Place in the refrigerator while preparing apples.
